Kodomo no hi at the Château La Coste
During the month of May at Château la Coste we are celebrating all things Japanese. We will be hosting a Japanese tea ceremony as well as a children’s workshop where they can discover the art of japanese kite flying.
The wine shop will be hosting special tasting events in May accompanied by sushi and sashimis.
Also in May we will be offering guided tours.
On the 5th May, come and attend a traditional Tea ceremony with master Keiko Van Rij

Koi nobori workshop for the children
On the 5th of May the Japanese celebrate national children’s day. On this special day, Japanese tradition calls for all children to fly kites in the form of coloured carps. Château La Caste in association with Zeste d’artistes will be hosting a special children’s workshop where they can come along and learn how to create and decorate their very own kites. Japanese tasting at the wine shop
We will be holding special wine and food tastings on the 15th and 22nd of May. They will take place in our new tasting room at Château La Coste. For more information please contact the wine shop from the 5th of May onwards.
Guided tours throughout May
Starting from the 5th of May, we are offering guided tours of the Art & Architecture walk, in french, english or spanish, for a price of 15€ (full price) or 12€ (reduced price – student, senior, jobseeker, children between 10 and 18).
Daily visits take place:
- From Monday to Friday at 10.30am
- On Saturdays and Sundays: at 10.30am and 3pm
Children’s Workshops
Throughout the year Château La Coste hold workshops for children under 15 in partnership with the association Zeste d’artistes. A wide range of workshops are available including photography, painting, land art, modelling.
Workshops this month are :
Wednesday, the 9th : Painting – 2.15pm till 4.15pm
Saturday the 12th : Photography – 2pm till 5pm
Wednesday the 23rd : Land art – 10am till 11am
Saturday the 26th : Land art – 2pm till 4pm
Wednesday the 30th : Painting – 2.15pm till 4.15pm
Prices : 1 workshop : 20€ / 2 : 35€ / 3 : 50€
